Hexaware Strengthens Data Capabilities with Acquisition of Softcrylic Know More
Arun ‘Rak’ Ramchandran is the President and Global Head of Consulting and GenAI Practice at Hexaware. He has also been leading the Hi-Tech, Platforms, and Professional Services (HTPS) vertical since joining Hexaware in 2017.
As leader of the newly launched Hexaware GenAI Consulting and Practice Unit, Rak is poised to transform Hexaware into an AI-first company that creates exponential value for its customers. In his role as Head of Consulting, Rak leads Hexaware’s enterprise architecture and technology consulting offerings that span multiple service lines and domain-specific digital transformation capabilities across all the industry segments it serves. He was also leader for the Digital Transformation Service Line until it was merged with the Digital & Software unit in Jan 2023.
As the P&L leader of the HTPS vertical business unit, Rak works directly with Hexaware’s HTPS clients globally to expand existing relationships and nurture new ones. He is also responsible for delivering end-to-end services and solutions that enable innovation and agility while providing efficiencies and savings.
Rak is the Chief Mentor for the Hexaware Future Leaders and Executives (HFLX) program. HFLX focuses on hiring, training, and mentoring management trainees from B-schools worldwide and preparing them for future leadership roles at Hexaware.
Before joining Hexaware, Rak held various leadership roles at Tier-1 IT services companies, such as Capgemini and Infosys, where he was instrumental in leading large client-facing teams and creating and scaling business units to significant growth. His earlier roles have included managing Capgemini’s Sogeti NA client portfolio as Chief Client Officer, heading Capgemini’s Application Services’ Strategic Sales Unit, business leader for Infosys’ Life Sciences BU, and their worldwide Strategic Global Sourcing Sales group.
Rak holds a BTech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay and an MBA from IIM Calcutta. He is a frequent speaker and contributor on topics related to AI, GenAI, Trust & Technology, and is acknowledged as a thought leader for his writings and published points of views. When not traveling, Rak lives in Palo Alto, California, and is well connected to the Silicon Valley network.
