An assessment is the first step in the migration process where the platform discovers the workloads and determines their readiness for migration to Azure. Details like cost, timelines and remediations for making the workloads cloud ready are provided as an output so that customers can take an informed decision regarding migration. The platform automatically creates wave groups based on application dependency for easy migration.

amaze makes assessment and migration to cloud a lot easier with intelligent identification of the code that requires changes. Then it automates the process for most of the changes to save on manual efforts. High levels of automation cut down on cloud migration time and save on TCO and implementation costs.

The platform collects metadata, performance data, and dependency analysis data. Metadata discovered helps figure out whether machines and apps are ready for migration to Azure, right-size machines and apps, plans costs, and analyze application dependencies

Yes, security of the user data is our top priority. All connections are established through a secure VPN reducing the exposure to open internet. All credential data is encrypted while storage and Authorization enabled while transmission providing better security from attacks.

We value user privacy; we do not collect individual credentials and do not have access to any information or attachment data. The data is deleted once the migration is complete. All data is securely sent to the Azure Migrate service over the internet via HTTPS & is encrypted at rest for storage.

The platform needs connectivity to MS Azure portal over the internet. The platform also needs access to Azure URLs.

• Owner or contributor permissions for Azure subscription, or for a resource group in the Azure subscription
• An On-premise vCenter Server instance running version 6.5,6.0 or 5.5

The above list is just a subset. The complete list of pre-requisites is provided in the platform itself before the start of the actual assessment.

It typically takes between 1-5 business days for the assessment depending upon the size and complexity of the workloads. Migration can take up to a month since validations are required post migration to ensure that the system works as expected.

An assessment is valid for one week. Any migration that is planned after a week of assessment will typically need a new assessment.
